About us
I have been a falconer for many years using my birds of prey for hunting wild quarry as in its natural environment. This the true definition of falconry. I decided to utilise my skills and knowledge from being a falconer and transfer them to bird abatement. These transferable skills worked seamlessly.
My passion for bird of prey and wildlife started as a young boy growing up in the Outer Hebrides on the small isle of Eriskay, which is a haven for wildlife including a pair of Golden Eagles.
In December 2021 I decided to make a career doing what I love. I believe that if you truly enjoy what you do then you will naturally do the best you possibly can for your clients and, in my case, my birds also.
What we offer
Highland Bird Control Services offers Bird and vermin control through out the Highlands and beyond. We pride ourselves on professionalism and the highest standard of animal welfare. We use various birds of prey for a wide range of different sites from retail parks and industrial estates to factory settings and more specialized sites like air fields. This method of bird control is a non lethal, environmentally friendly ethical way to deter target species. We take advantage of their natural fear of birds of prey.
The birds we use are all raptors but the species vary. We use Harris's Hawks which are native to the southern USA and south America. Our Peregrine Falcons are native to our own country, Gyrfalcons which are circumpolar and the largest falcon species in the world and Saker falcons which are found throughout Eastern Europe and Asia. This allows us to meet any requirement our clients request
